Rosarian Sisters Open Elderly Sisters Home to Provide Care and Support
Sisters of the Holy Rosary, Mountrosa, Malawi - The Rosarian Sisters, a Catholic congregation, have opened an Elderly Sisters Home at Mountrosa to provide care and support for elderly and sick sisters who have dedicated their lives to serving the Church and society for over 50 years as religious.
The home, which is located in a tranquil and serene environment, will provide a comfortable and safe living space for the elderly sisters, who may require special care and attention. The facility includes a chapel, where the sisters can attend mass, do their prayer, praying for the needs of the church and society and receive spiritual support.
According to Sister Devota Gama, the home's administrator, the Rosarian Sisters recognize the tremendous contribution that elderly sisters have made to the Church and society, and it is only fitting that they receive the care and support they need in their old age. "These sisters have given so much of themselves to others throughout their lives, and it is our duty to ensure that they receive the care and support they deserve in their old age. We are committed to providing a home where they can live with dignity, respect, and comfort."
The opening of the Elderly Sisters Home is part of the Rosarian Sisters' broader commitment to caring for the elderly and vulnerable in the community. The home will serve as a beacon of hope and a symbol of the sisters' dedication to serving others, even in their old age.
"We believe that the elderly have a lot to contribute to society, and we are committed to ensuring that they receive the care and support they need to live fulfilling lives," says Sister Mariarosa Phiri. "Our hope is that the Elderly Sisters Home will be a place where the sisters can continue to be active members of the community, even in their old age through prayer."
The opening of the Elderly Sisters Home has been warmly welcomed by the local community, who see it as a testament to the Rosarian Sisters' commitment to caring for the elderly and vulnerable. The home is expected to provide a much-needed source of care and support for elderly and sick sisters in the region, ensuring that they receive the dignity, respect, and comfort they deserve in their old age.
